| A lady mistook her labor pains for gas pain and
delivered her jackpot – a new baby boy at Resorts Atlantic City casino
on Saturday morning. |
| 32 year old Nyree Thompson was eight months
pregnant when she got her labor pains while playing penny slots at the
Atlantic City casino in New Jersey. At about 9.30 am she went into
labor on the casino floor. |
| Initially she mistook her labor pain for gas
pain. Nyree Thompson said that she made multiple visits to the bathroom
and then later told the security guard at Resorts Atlantic City that
she might be giving birth. The security guard felt that she was joking
and she said that the security guard paid no mind to her. Then her
water broke and she gave birth to a baby boy weighing 5 pounds. |
| Four security guards at the casino helped
Thompson deliver the baby. The baby was named Qualeem. The security
guards tended to the new born and the mother till the paramedics
arrived. |
| The mother and the baby were taken to a nearby
hospital. The baby was one month premature and weighed less. Reports
say that the baby is fine. |
