4 Line Jacks
4-Line Jacks
or Better is an online casino video poker game
variation in which players aim to hit a winning five-card poker combination on
one or more of the four lines. In Jacks or Better, the lowest winning
combination is a pair of Jacks.
Rules
With four lines of cards instead of one like the
traditional version of flash casino Jacks or
Better, players have four times the chances to win with each deal. The game is
played with four 52-card decks with each line using a different deck of cards.
Winning combinations on each line are treated as a different hand.
Start by choosing a bet amount from a minimum of one coin
to a maximum of five. The bet is multiplied by four, one time for each line,
and the total sum is deducted from the player’s account.
After the bet is placed, the cards are dealt. Choose which
cards to hold and which cards to replace. Cards which form a winning
combination in the initial deal automatically are held by the auto-hold
feature. After deciding which cards to hold, hit deal. The cards are checked
for winning combinations, and the winnings are paid for the best combination in
each line.
Since the lowest winning combination is a pair of Jacks,
anything lower, such as a pair of tens, does not pay; but pairs of Queens,
Kings and Aces are golden. Other winning combinations include: two pair, three
of a kind, straight, flush, full house, four of a kind, straight flush, five of
a kind and royal flush.
When a winning combination is hit, players can choose to double
their winnings. In doubling, the dealer draws a card face up and allows the
player to choose one card from four face down cards. If the selected card is
lower than the dealer’s card, the entire winnings from the previous hand are
forfeited; however, if the selected card is higher, payout is doubled. If the
cards are equal, it is a draw and the original winnings are paid.
Alternatively, players can opt to double half their
winnings. When doubling half, only half of the initial winnings are at stake,
the other half are bet the same as in doubling.
